There are really only a few “rules” for choosing a domain name. A name should be:

• short
• easy to spell
• easy to remember
• easy to “say” over the phone (if applicable to your purpose)
• catchy
• not misleading

If you are running a business website, you should obtain multiple names:

• various forms of your company name
• common misspellings of your primary domain name
